For families looking to find kid-friendly activities, Departure Bay Centennial Park is the perfect place for children to play or participate in a number of community programs available at the Departure Bay Activity Centre. Kinsman Park located on the water’s edge is complete with a playground and lies next to the Departure Bay Children’s Centre. At Beach Estates Park residents can walk the trail following the winding Northfield Creek and access Departure Bay’s neighbouring communities.
Departure Bay is also home to Saysutshun-Newcastle Island Marine Provincial Park, an island situated in the middle of the bay which is traditionally associated with physical and spiritual healing.
