There is a blog I follow by a Vancouver Marketer/Developer/Realtor – Bob Rennie. He puts together a comprehensive and data-filled review of multiple Canadian markets. The latest report is 67 pages long – probably more than most people want, but if you wanta deep dive to get all the detail – the link to it is just below this snapshot.
The report doesn’t speak specifically about our local market but it does give us deep insight to nearby markets. We are affected by these and they will be close enough to get insight to what is happening in our backyards

With bond yields near 20-year highs, inflation pinned at the top of the Bank of Canada’s target range, and an expanding US-Canada trade war, a meaningful stimulus for housing demand through the remainder of 2026 is unlikely. At the current pace, sales are expected to finish the year at their lowest level in over two decades.
